So recently I have not blogged at all. I haven’t even thought about my blog and I think sometimes a little distance is just what you need to get back into something. That being said, I have also been crazy busy with
1. University (I always question why I think it is a good idea to do a heavily essay based subject along with a heavy art based subject alongside one another…oh well)
2.A little project I have going with my mum and cousins (more on this at some other point in the year…), and
3. IΒ am currently up to my eyeballs in Interior Design work, its stressful, its fun, its creative and my god, it is TIME CONSUMING!
I have spent most of my life on a building site, choosing floor tiles, windows, paints, kitchens, dressing show homes, and on the occasions when my mum has built (not her self physically) our own homes I have had so much fun decorating my room and helping out with decorating our own personal space. I thought in honesty that doing an Interior Design course was going to be a piece of cake, not because there wasn’t going to be loads of work involved, but because growing up, it, along with property developing, is what I have known.
Well I did not realise there were so many long winded convoluted ways to design a flat…. I mean seriously, I don’t know about you but I have always struggled in art and now clearly in interior design, backing up where my ideas come from. Mostly because they come to me when I am in the shower for instance, or walking the dogs, there is no rhyme or reason to my ideas, I just come up with them and then sort of want to run with it and not think about anything else. This is something I really need to get out of the habit of doing if I want to pass my course with flying colours…. perfectionist in me speaking. Anyway here’s a little sneak peak of my desk last Friday night.
